Dear Sierra Pres friends & family,
Last Sunday was a great day of worship. In both services we celebrated the success of Adventure Week and heard from Jackie Turner who shared her testimony about Christian Encounter Ranch. She highlighted how we can support them through the upcoming Agony Ride happening on July 24th & 25th. Also I shared a message from Psalm 137 and how we as faithful followers of Jesus can grapple with the grief we will feel in this life. This Sunday we will have more wonderful guests to celebrate. Missionaries Dave & Julee Schoch will be in service to share with us about their work with Christar in serving Albania and the Balkan countries. We will also hear a message on Psalm 69 from Pastor David Burke. David Burke was previously the pastor at Fremont Presbyterian Church in Sacramento but has recently become a pastoral coach and mentor through Standing Stone. He also serves as a chaplain for the pastors and other leaders in our presbytery (the Presbytery of the Pacific Southwest). I will be away but I trust that you will be blessed by these dear friends on Sunday.
