Dear Sierra Pres friends & family,

Last Sunday, we continued our Reorient series with Psalm 85, reflecting on deliverance. It was a powerful reminder that God's rescue in our lives is not a one time event we just look back on. It is something we continue to experience every time we choose, together, to listen to His voice. I am so grateful for how our congregation leaned into that truth, and I hope it stayed with you through the week.

This Sunday, we turn a corner in our series as we move from Reorientation into Hope, beginning with Psalm 8 and a focus on gratitude. We will also be hearing about a wonderful missions opportunity during our time together. I would love nothing more than to worship alongside you in person this week, whether at 9am or 10:30am, as we take this next step in our journey through the Psalms. If you are unable to join us in the building, you can always stream the service live or catch up afterward at sierrapres.com/media.

I also want to make sure you have this on your calendar early. We will be holding a Called Congregational Meeting between services on Sunday, September 13th. This is an important gathering for our church family, as we finish up some work from our previous annual congregational meeting on May 31st. We have a new class of our Nominating Committee that we need to vote as a body. They can then begin the important work of praying about and discerning God's will for those who may be called to be elders, deacons along those who will also serve on the next Nominating Committee. I encourage every member to plan on attending. More details will follow in the coming weeks, but please mark the date now so you can be part of this meeting.

Grace and peace to you all, and I look forward to seeing you soon.

With you on the journey,
Pastor Greg Flagg
