Westmont College Orchestra and Praise Team

On Sunday, February 16, the orchestra and worship team from Westmont College will be here to lead the music at both services. They have been here twice before with a great group of young people and wonderful worship music.

They are directed by Michael Shasberger, son of Bill Shasberger, former choir director here at SPC, and brother of Marge Shasberger and Terri Horlick who were active in the music ministry here at SPC.

We will be needing housing on Saturday night, Feb. 15thfor the approximately 60 students.  They would arrive Saturday night about 5:30, unpack and set up and then have a rehearsal with our sound system from 6:00-7:00.  At that time host families can pick them up.  We would need the host families to feed them Saturday night and return them to SPC by 8:30 Sunday morning.

So, if you, or someone you know in the community can host one, two, or more students, please contact Jonathan Steel at the church office.  This really is a great experience and a good time to invite friends and neighbors, especially high school students who might want to consider the Christian education at Westmont.
