THE NOMINATING TEAM VALUES YOUR INPUT

The process of selecting new leaders for our church has begun.  We are seeking church members for consideration to serve as Elders, Deacons and members of the Nominating team. The Nominating Team will discern and select willing members and present them for election at the June congregational meeting. Service begins in July. Elders and Deacons serve three-year terms with eligible reelection for one additional term; Nomination team members serve a one-year term with eligible reelection for two additional terms. 

Elders serve as a member of Session (Our church's decision-making body consisting of 12 Elders). An Elder is spiritually mature, has a gift for leadership and works cooperatively with others. Session meets monthly. Additionally, each Elder oversees a specific ministry of the church. Openings this year are for Elders who will oversee these ministries: Children’s Ministries, Family Ministries/Gathering, Adult Spiritual Development and Nominations.  Deacons have a caring heart for assisting those in our church with a variety of needs.  Each deacon works with those of our church family based on living in a geographical area called a parish.  Deacons meet together monthly.

If you have the gifts and desire to serve or know of another to do so, please fill out the form and submit. There is no need to consult with another individual in this regard as the Nominating team will prayerfully discern and if appropriate approach an individual to further discuss the service opportunity.
